Digital Marketing for Bay Shore Businesses
Bay Shore is the gateway to Fire Island, home to a $500 million hospital expansion, four craft breweries, and a Main Street that went from 40% vacancy to one of the busiest downtowns on the South Shore. That comeback created a competitive local market. We handle SEO, web design, and Google Ads for Bay Shore businesses from our Deer Park office, about 10 minutes north on Route 231.
Fire Island Gateway. South Shore Comeback Story.
In the 1990s, downtown Bay Shore had a 40% vacancy rate. Main Street storefronts sat empty. Today, that same stretch is packed with restaurants, craft breweries, boutiques, and the Boulton Center for the Performing Arts. Salt and Barrel has been a local institution since 1937. DUBCO, Fire Island Beer Co., Great South Bay Brewery, and The Brewers Collective all operate within the community. The people who live here drove that turnaround.
Bay Shore is also the primary ferry terminal for Fire Island. Ferries to Ocean Beach, Kismet, Fair Harbor, Saltaire, Atlantique, and half a dozen other communities depart from Maple Avenue all summer long. That ferry traffic brings thousands of visitors through downtown every week from Memorial Day through Labor Day. South Shore University Hospital, part of the Northwell Health system, is in the middle of a $500 million campus expansion that's adding 90 private rooms and 10 operating rooms.
Our office is at 375 Commack Road in Deer Park, about 10 minutes north on Route 231. We've been building campaigns for South Shore businesses since 2012.

Services for Bay Shore Businesses
Everything a Bay Shore business needs to reach locals, ferry passengers, hospital employees, and the surrounding South Shore communities.
SEO
Bay Shore sits in the Town of Islip, one of the largest towns on Long Island with 340,000 residents across 24 hamlets. When someone searches for a service "near me," Google pulls listings from Brightwaters, Islip, West Islip, Brentwood, and Central Islip. We build SEO campaigns that target Bay Shore specifically so your business shows up for the right searches.
SEO ServicesWebsite Design
Bay Shore serves residents, ferry passengers, and hospital employees at the same time. A restaurant on Main Street needs a site that converts a local searching from home and a visitor searching from the LIRR platform. We build custom, mobile-first websites that load fast and turn searches into walk-ins, calls, and reservations.
Web Design ServicesGoogle Ads / PPC
Google Ads geo-targeted to Bay Shore, Brightwaters, West Bay Shore, and the surrounding communities. Summer campaigns ramp to capture ferry traffic and beach-goers searching for restaurants and services near the terminal. Year-round campaigns target the 31,000+ residents and the healthcare workers at South Shore University Hospital.
PPC ServicesLocal SEO
Map Pack rankings drive calls for Bay Shore businesses. When someone searches "restaurant near me" from the ferry terminal or "dentist Bay Shore," the top three Map Pack spots get the business. We handle Google Business Profile optimization, local citations, and review strategy so your listing shows up ahead of the competition.
Local SEO ServicesReputation Management
Downtown Bay Shore has dozens of restaurants competing for the same customers. Ferry passengers check Google reviews before picking a spot for lunch. A strong review profile separates your business from the place next door. We build automated review systems that keep fresh, detailed reviews coming in consistently so your listing stands out.
Reputation ServicesSocial Media
Bay Shore has a strong community presence on Facebook and Instagram. Local groups, the Alive By The Bay festival, and the craft brewery scene generate organic engagement year-round. We create content calendars around local events, manage posting schedules, and run paid social campaigns targeting residents and visitors by zip code.
Social Media ServicesLong Island's Gateway to Fire Island
The land that became Bay Shore was purchased from the Secatogue Indians in 1708 by John Mowbray, a teacher, for several eel fishing spears. The hamlet went through a string of names over the centuries: Penataquit and Awixa (indigenous names), then Sodom, then Mechanicsville in 1842, back to Penataquit in 1849, and finally Bay Shore in 1868 when residents decided they needed a name people could actually spell. By 1850, Bay Shore was one of only two proper hamlets in the entire Town of Islip.
Regular ferry service to Fire Island started in 1862, and that connection defined Bay Shore's identity. The LIRR brought wealthy New Yorkers to waterfront estates along the Great South Bay. Sagtikos Manor in West Bay Shore, built around 1697, is one of the oldest houses on Long Island. The late 19th century brought resort hotels, shopping districts, and a reputation as a summer destination. After World War II, farms became suburban housing, and Bay Shore grew into one of the largest hamlets in the Town of Islip.
Today, the Fire Island ferry terminals at the end of Maple Avenue serve nine Fire Island communities during the summer season. South Shore University Hospital (Northwell Health) is in the middle of a $500 million campus transformation, including a new six-story inpatient pavilion. The Boulton Center for the Performing Arts hosts live music and events on Main Street. Four craft breweries operate in the community, and the annual Alive By The Bay street festival fills Main Street with vendors, food, and live music.

Why Bay Shore Businesses Choose Us
Bay Shore has three distinct search markets happening at the same time. The 31,000+ residents searching for everyday services. The ferry passengers searching for restaurants, parking, and activities before and after their trip to Fire Island. And the healthcare workers and patients at South Shore University Hospital searching for nearby businesses during the workday. Most agencies treat Bay Shore like any other suburb. We build campaigns that account for all three audiences.
