Wineries in Southold

Long Island's Oldest Settlement. A Marketing Market Like No Other.

The Town of Southold was settled in 1640, making it the oldest English settlement in New York State. Today it stretches 25 miles across the entire North Fork, from Laurel in the west to Orient Point at the tip. The town includes 10 hamlets, the Village of Greenport, and over 20 wineries and tasting rooms along Route 25 and Sound Avenue.

This is not a typical Long Island marketing market. The population is about 23,700 year-round, but that number doubles and triples during summer and fall weekends when tourists flood in for wine tastings, farm stands, beaches, and Greenport's waterfront. Search behavior here splits into two completely different audiences: locals who need services year-round and visitors searching for things to do, places to eat, and where to stay.

We build campaigns that capture both. A winery in Cutchogue needs to rank for "North Fork wine tasting" and "wineries near me" during peak season. A plumber in Mattituck needs to rank for "plumber North Fork" 12 months a year. A restaurant in Greenport needs to show up for tourists searching "dinner Greenport" on a Saturday night. Different businesses, different search patterns, same goal: more customers finding you on Google.

Services for North Fork Businesses

Everything a Southold Town business needs to capture searches from year-round locals and the seasonal crowds heading east on Route 25.

SEO

The North Fork's search market has two speeds: steady local demand and seasonal tourism surges. We build SEO campaigns with a year-round local foundation and seasonal content that captures the wine country, farm stand, and beach traffic that peaks from May through November.

SEO Services

Website Design

Custom websites built for the North Fork audience. Whether you're a winery in Peconic that needs online reservations, a boutique on Love Lane in Mattituck, or a contractor serving the whole fork, your site needs to look the part and convert the visitor into a customer.

Web Design Services

Google Ads / PPC

Targeted Google Ads geo-targeted across the North Fork and surrounding areas. We run seasonal campaigns that ramp up when the tourists arrive and year-round campaigns for local service businesses. Every dollar targets searches that produce real revenue, not just clicks from people browsing.

PPC Services

Local SEO

Map Pack rankings, Google Business Profile optimization, and local citations across the North Fork. With 10 hamlets spread across 25 miles, your GBP service area needs to be set right. We target the communities that actually send you customers and skip the ones that don't.

Local SEO Services

Reputation Management

Reviews matter more on the North Fork than almost anywhere else on Long Island. Tourists check Google and Yelp before they pick a restaurant, book a tasting, or choose a B&B. Locals check reviews before they call a contractor. We get you more reviews and manage your reputation so it works for you around the clock.

Reputation Services

Social Media

Content creation, posting, and paid social ads for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. The North Fork is one of the most Instagram-friendly places on Long Island. Vineyards, sunsets over the Sound, farm-to-table food. We turn that visual appeal into a social strategy that keeps your brand in front of the right people.

25 Miles of North Fork From Laurel to Orient

The Town of Southold was established in 1640 when English Puritans from New Haven, Connecticut, led by Reverend John Youngs, purchased the land from the Corchaug people and settled at what is now Founders Landing in the hamlet of Southold. It's the oldest English settlement in New York State.

The town stretches the full length of the North Fork. Mattituck anchors the western end with Love Lane, its block-long main street packed with boutiques, the Village Cheese Shop, and Love Lane Kitchen. Home to the Mattituck Strawberry Festival every June. Cutchogue is the heart of Long Island wine country. The first vineyard, Hargrave (now Castello di Borghese), was planted here in 1973. Today 11 tasting rooms operate in Cutchogue alone, including Bedell Cellars and Pellegrini Vineyards.

Greenport is the village at the center of the fork's tourism economy. The waterfront, the antique carousel at Mitchell Park, the Suffolk Theater, Greenport Harbor Brewing, and a restaurant scene that punches way above its weight for a village of 2,100 people. East of Greenport you hit East Marion and Orient, where the pace slows down even more. Orient Beach State Park sits at the tip with 45,000 feet of shoreline. The Cross Sound Ferry connects Orient Point to New London, Connecticut. Route 25 runs the length of the town as Main Road. The LIRR Greenport Branch stops at Mattituck, Southold, and Greenport.

Why North Fork Businesses Choose Us

The North Fork is a seasonal market with year-round businesses. Most agencies treat it like any other Suffolk County town. We don't. A winery's SEO campaign looks nothing like a plumber's. A Greenport restaurant's Google Ads strategy is completely different from a Mattituck landscaper's. We build every campaign around the specific business, its hamlet, and the audience it needs to reach.

Seasonal + year-round strategy that captures tourist traffic without losing your local foundation
Hamlet-level targeting across Southold's 10 hamlets and the Village of Greenport
Wine, farm, and hospitality experience. We understand the North Fork's tourism-driven businesses
Monthly reporting that ties rankings, traffic, leads, and calls directly to your revenue
No long-term contracts. We keep clients because the results keep coming

North Fork Marketing FAQ

We serve clients across eastern Suffolk and drive Route 25 out to the fork regularly. We know the difference between the Mattituck market and the Greenport market. We know that Cutchogue is wine country and that Orient is a different world. We build campaigns based on how each hamlet actually works, not a one-size-fits-all North Fork approach.

We build a year-round local SEO foundation first. Your Google Business Profile, core service pages, and citations stay active 12 months a year. Then we layer seasonal content and PPC campaigns on top to capture the tourism surges from Memorial Day through the fall harvest season. When traffic drops in winter, your local rankings keep producing business.

Yes. We work with businesses in Mattituck, Cutchogue, Peconic, Southold, Greenport, East Marion, Orient, New Suffolk, Laurel, Greenport West, and Fishers Island. Each hamlet has its own search volume and audience. A business on Love Lane in Mattituck pulls different searches than a marina in New Suffolk or a B&B in Orient.

Wineries, breweries, restaurants, farm stands, B&Bs, retail shops, contractors, landscapers, medical practices, law firms, marinas, real estate agents, and professional service firms. The North Fork economy runs on agriculture, tourism, hospitality, and local services. We've built campaigns across all of those.

For tourism-related searches like "North Fork wineries" or "Greenport restaurants," yes. Multiple businesses compete for those high-value searches. For local service keywords like "electrician North Fork" or "dentist Mattituck," there's a wide open opportunity. Fewer businesses on the fork invest in SEO compared to western Suffolk, which means you can dominate your niche faster here.
